UCSF can now offer an approved gene therapy for Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome
UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals is the first U.S. center qualified to give Waskyra, which uses a child's own stem cells. In the approval studies, severe infections fell 93 percent and bleeding 60 percent in year one.
