Kevin Sosa, 14, stood with his family at Delray Medical Center on Wednesday and thanked the people who treated him after a lightning strike, WSVN reported. He was hit during a soccer game in August and went into cardiac arrest in front of his family.
His father started CPR. A bystander kept it going until Palm Beach County Fire Rescue arrived. Doctors at the hospital said that early CPR limited the harm from a lack of oxygen. Sosa spent about a month in care, including several days unconscious, then went home. He turned 14 while he was recovering. He told the room he plans to play soccer again.
