Firefighters rescued a man from a burning house on Pittsburgh's North Side on Friday morning. WPXI reported that emergency crews were sent at 6:30 a.m. to the 800 block of Concord Street in East Allegheny. The station reported smoke and flames at the house. Public safety officials said firefighters brought one man out through a second-floor window, and another person got out the back.

Neither of them stayed to be checked by medics. No firefighters were injured. The fire was under control in less than an hour. The Fire Investigation Unit is the group that will determine how it started. WPXI's account is the rescue and the knockdown. It does not name the people who lived there, and it does not give a cause.
