Spend ten quiet minutes caring for an animal you already live with, or draw a picture about animal care if you do not have a pet.
A shelter dog in Cincinnati went home after people helped with the things he needed. Ten quiet minutes with a pet you already know, or a drawing about animal care, practices that same attention.
Students draw an animal and write one sentence about what that animal needs. Leave pets at home.
With a grown-up, refill a water bowl, brush a pet, or tidy the spot where that pet rests. If you do not have a pet, draw one instead.
With a grown-up you live with, borrow a library book about caring for animals. Do not approach an animal you do not know.
Check a box each day you try the challenge. A class can write its total in the tally box.
