Good morning. It is Friday, October 23, 2026. Here are three pieces of good news.
First, in Anchorage, Alaska: Quyana Night opened the Alaska Federation of Natives convention in Anchorage. Quyana means thank you in Yup'ik, and the night has welcomed dance groups for more than forty years. Fourteen groups came from across Alaska, including the Aleutians, Southeast, the Yukon-Kuskokwim region, Kodiak, and the North Slope. Susan Patkotak, who is 21 and dances with the Barrow Dancers from Utqiagvik, performed a song she wrote to bring an Inupiaq tradition back. Hundreds of people at the Dena'ina Center stood and cheered, and the audience asked her to dance it again. Alaska Public Media reported it.
Next, in Plage des Jardins: France 3 reported on October 23, 2026, that walkers on October 15 found baby loggerhead turtles heading for the sea at a wild beach in Bormes-les-Mimosas, in southern France. France 3 reported it.
And one more, in Greenwood Village, Colorado: Navy Lt. CBS Colorado reported it.
Kindness thought for the day: Learn one new person's name and say hello. Being noticed is a real gift.
That's today's good news from Tazzora.
