Freedom Alliance and U.S. Bank gave Marine Corps veteran Dustin Gabehart and his family a brand-new car with nothing left to pay, KRDO reported. Gabehart was a corporal on a route-clearance team in Afghanistan in 2013. An improvised explosive device injured him. He went through about 20 surgeries and was medically retired in November 2015.

Back in Colorado, he has spent about seven years as a volunteer football coach at La Junta High School. He told the station his children had no idea, and that keeping the secret was the hard part. Freedom Alliance's Tom Kilgannon said this was the 69th payment-free vehicle the two organizations have given a veteran.
