A reunion at Jefferson Abington Hospital on Thursday brought together baby Isabella and the paramedic who first treated her, CBS Philadelphia reported. Cheltenham paramedic Jessica Barto answered a 911 call on July 19 and delivered Isabella at home in Elkins Park. She was born at 23 weeks and weighed 1 pound. Barto gave breaths and compressions and got her to the hospital.

Isabella now weighs 6 pounds. Her parents, Crystal Hilliard and Anthony Robinson, said the birth was a shock. Neonatologist Erin Cipko said her first thought was that the baby would not make it, and the team moved immediately. Hilliard said seeing Isabella now feels like relief. The parents have invited Barto to their wedding, which they plan to hold at the hospital.
