Rescue groups, volunteers, and neighbors filled the lot outside Green Bay's east-side Petco for the seventh Rescue Roundup. WBAY reported on October 5, 2026, that Community Paws of Wisconsin organized the Sunday fundraiser. Steven Parise, who started it in 2019, said the crowd keeps growing and that holding it in front of a pet store brings in people who already love animals.
Silent-auction and raffle money stocks the group's pet food pantry, supports a wellness clinic, and helps foster animals. Parise said the pantry's demand has jumped this year and that dry dog food and cat food are welcome. Lucky 7 Dog Rescue, a foster-only group, was among the organizations on site. Volunteer Olivia Biskobing said the day is a chance for animals who need homes to meet the people who might take them.
