The reporting lives at WBAY. Our summary is checked against it, and we link it on every story.

Around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, Green Bay Metro Fire Department crews were called to the 1500 block of Atkinson Drive, on the city's northwest side, WBAY reported. A person was trapped chest-deep in sand and machinery. Because of how hard the entrapment was, the response was raised to a technical rescue box alarm. The department's urban search and rescue team came, along with 13 emergency vehicles.

The crews freed the person after about 30 minutes of work. That person was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. The station did not describe any injuries. One firefighter was hurt during the rescue and was treated and released at the scene. Howard Fire Department's technical rescue team, Green Bay police, the city's public works department, and Brown County Public Safety Communications also helped.
