A gardener working in a Mission Viejo yard on Thursday morning saw a garage on fire and, with a neighbor, rang the doorbell until the woman inside woke up. NBC Los Angeles reported that she got out with her two dogs. The gardener, whose name was not released, kept a garden hose on the flames until firefighters arrived.
The Orange County Fire Authority said the fire started just after 7 a.m. and that no one was hurt. The cause had not been determined when the station reported it. Someone already in the yard noticed, woke the house, and stayed with a hose.
