The Sequim Gazette reported on October 7, 2026, that the Friends of the Sequim Library renovated their shop at 10175 Old Olympic Highway in Rock Plaza. They removed the Annex and put in shelving for more than 1,500 DVDs and audiobooks. Prices are still a dollar. President Pam Erb and secretary Katherine Huelskamp said the group, with 21 active volunteers, gave the library $15,000 this year and another $5,000 toward a lift campaign. An anonymous donor gave $10,000 last month, and a summer IRA gift of $1,000 arrived for a second time. A member sale was set for Thursday, October 8, from 3 to 7 p.m., with a public sale Saturday, October 10, from 9 to 3. Donations are accepted Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 1, except on a sale Wednesday.
