OCAD University is marking its 150th year with 150 undergraduate scholarships of $40,000 each. CBC News reported the programme, called 150 FUTURES, on October 20, 2026.
Each award is $10,000 a year for four years. The school was founded in 1876. President Ana Serrano said the scholarships are for new applicants from across Canada who bring creative talent, academic achievement, and financial need. Two gifts of $1 million each, from Nancy McCain and Bill Morneau and from John and Jan MacIntyre, are part of the funding. The university has raised more than half of a $6 million goal and called this its most ambitious scholarship programme since 1876.
The awards are for students who have yet to start. They do not, by themselves, change who is already enrolled.
