Poland's National Library and the National Institute of Cultural Heritage have agreed to build the institute's Conservation Library. The National Library announced on October 16, 2026, that the agreement was signed on Wednesday, October 14, by Dr. Tomasz Makowski, director of the National Library, and Michał Krasucki, acting director of the institute.
The library is meant to collect and share what conservators know, support research and the exchange of methods, and run joint projects that protect cultural heritage. It will be at Aleja Niepodległości 213 in Warsaw. The announcement is the agreement itself. It does not yet describe a public opening day or a count of books on the shelves.
