Lake Antoine Park Partners wrapped a "21 Days to Play" campaign aimed at $40,000 for the Lake Antoine Community Playground, WLUC TV6 reported. Kingsford Middle School opened its own drive at $500. After the school had $3,800 with a day left, it raised the target to $5,000. By the end of Friday the students had brought in more than $8,000.
Eighth grader Dominic Tatangelo said people kept giving after they thought $5,000 was the ceiling. The park partners said the school drive, plus other community gifts, pushed the full campaign past the $40,000 it needed to finish the playground project.
