Scouts across northeast Wisconsin are getting ready for the 38th Scouting for Food drive. WBAY reported on October 6, 2026, that Bay-Lakes Council will have youth hang bags on Saturday, October 10, and come back for them on the morning of October 17. The food stays local, going to more than 80 pantries from the northern edge of metro Milwaukee up to Door County and west toward Waupaca.
Colin Earl, the council's director of development, said last year's drive brought in 420,000 pounds. More than 5,600 scouts, ages 5 to 18, take part, along with about 3,000 adult volunteers. Organizers are asking for canned vegetables and fruit, boxed goods, and canned meat, and they are asking donors to skip fresh produce and glass. Paul's Pantry in Green Bay is among the pantries on the delivery list.
