Good morning. It is Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Here are three pieces of good news.
First, in Granby, Colorado: Grand County, Colorado, has a new animal shelter in Granby. Denver7 reported it.
Next, in La Plata, Maryland: Children waiting with their families at a social services office in La Plata, Maryland, can now read a book and take it home. The county library supplied about 100 children's books, in good condition, for a corner aimed at kids under 7. The Southern Maryland Chronicle reported it.
And one more, in Phoenix, Oregon: At Blue Heron Park in Phoenix, Oregon, children and adults watched 22 monarch butterflies lift off wearing tiny solar tags. The tags weigh 60 milligrams, about a tenth of an adult monarch's weight, and a phone app can pick up the signal. One butterfly released in another Oregon town was detected a day later about 95 miles away, near the coast. Jefferson Public Radio reported it.
Kindness thought for the day: When you win, cheer for the other side too. Good sportsmanship is its own good news.
That's today's good news from Tazzora.
