Jim and Linda Parker of Hutchinson were inducted into the National Blood Donation Hall of Fame after more than 30 years of giving, KMUW reported. Jim, 88, has donated 102 gallons. Linda, 77, has donated 92. They have given at all 34 American Red Cross centers and in every state, with many of those donations in Wichita.
On the day of the induction they donated platelets. The gallon totals are a lifetime of visits, not a single drive, and the Hall of Fame honor is for that long record.
