Good morning. It is Friday, October 9, 2026. Here are three pieces of good news.
First, in Playa Veracruz: A new sea turtle hatchery opened at Playa Veracruz, in Panamá Oeste, Panama. Infobae reported it.
Next, in Cairo, Egypt: Smithsonian Magazine reported on October 9, 2026, that scientists studied an old crocodile skull found near Cairo about 100 years ago. The rock it came from is the same kind of limestone that was carved into the Great Sphinx. The skull is about 45 million years old, and the tip of its snout is missing, a little like the Sphinx missing the tip of its nose. For a long time people thought the fossil belonged with the false gharial. Smithsonian Magazine reported it.
And one more, in Kaliua, Tabora Region: Tanzania's Daily News reported that a new tree nursery in Kaliua is raising seedlings for village forests and for schools, clinics, and other public places. Daily News reported it.
Kindness thought for the day: Learn one new person's name and say hello. Being noticed is a real gift.
That's today's good news from Tazzora.
